Grand Marais
Join us for a breathtaking multi-day adventure along the iconic North Shore! Our journey begins with a scenic drive north and a lunch stop in Two Harbors, followed by time to explore the stunning cascades of Gooseberry Falls State Park. We will continue along the shoreline to Temperance River State Park, where you can enjoy the rugged beauty of the river gorge before heading to Grand Marais for an overnight stay at the Best Western Plus, where all views are of the water.

The next morning, we’ll head to Judge C.R. Magney State Park for a memorable hike to the mysterious Devil s Kettle and the impressive Upper Falls. Afterward, we travel farther north to Grand Portage for lunch and time to explore the historic Grand Portage National Monument Heritage Center. Travelers may also choose to walk the scenic Mount Rose Trail, offering panoramic views of the bay. Our day continues with a visit to Grand Portage State Park, where we will hike to High Falls, the tallest waterfall in Minnesota at an impressive 120 feet. We then return to Grand Marais for the night.

On our final day, we check out of the hotel and enjoy some time at Tettegouche State Park, known for its dramatic cliffs and beautiful shoreline views, before beginning our journey home.

Come experience spectacular waterfalls, rich history, and unforgettable scenery on this relaxing and refreshing North Shore getaway!

***We initially thought the boat to Isle of Royale would be available, but it does not accommodate groups and it does not run until mid June.
