Walking Program General Information

Walking is from 4:00-8:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 4:00-7:00 on Fridays,

beginning October 7 until the weather gets nice in the spring.

Community Education provides ID badges that authorize you to walk

in the High School @ 401 Huntsinger Ave., Enter at Door E

No walking at the Century School.

All walkers must preregister to receive a schedule, badge & map of the approved routes. Please wear your badge while walking. On evenings there are scheduled activities in the gym or auditorium, please limit your walking to the north end of the complex, signs will be posted so you know.

Please respect the custodial work areas & if your child/children are with you, they need to be by you at all times.

If there is no school or if schools close early due to weather, there will not be walking.

Baby strollers are welcome but no other wheels are allowed inside the buildings. This includes bicycles, scooters, roller blades etc.

For the safety of others, jogging is not allowed inside the building.

There are benches to leave your coats on when you walk. Keep your possessions to a minimum, leave purses and valuables in your car. We are not responsible for loss of property.

We encourage you to check with your doctor if you have any medical conditions.

There will be no walking: MEA, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas break or Easter break.
