NLOKids Theatre Camp
Ages 8-13
NLOKids, presented by Northern Light Opera Company in cooperation with Pine Point School, is offering its 8th annual Theater Camp, a 3 part intensive theater-making experience! Students will create their own play with music to perform for the Park Rapids and Pine Point communities. Everything will be created by kids - sets, costumes, music, script, publicity - with lots of theater games and acting/vocal exercieses to buld confidence and forge friendships.
Instructors: NLOKids is led by the NYC directors from Northern Light Opera Comapny, along with seasoned teachers and student directors.
This camp will be broken into different sections. Students are welcome to come to 1 or more sections, for $15 total.

Playwriting & Theater Games, Melanie Goodreaux, Lead Director: June 17-20 (not June 19th)
Theater Design & Songwriting, Ginger Singer & Lisa Dove, Lead Directors: June 24-27
Staging the Play! Acting, movement, rehearsals for the original work.
Hawkin Paul & Jeffrey Nolan, Lead Directors: July 5-15
Performance will be Friday, July 12 in late afternoon at Pine Point Community Center
Saturday, July 13 in late morning at Park Rapids Armory

Students will be tranported from Century School to either Pine Point School or the Armory. The first part of the program will take place at Pine Point School with school bus transprtation available from the Century School at 9:30, returning at 2:30 the last two weeks will take place at the Park Rapids Armory.
